Full reveal expected later this month.
Honda just teased the all-new 2022 Honda Civic Si, showing the turbocharged sport compact as a camo-clad four-door race car. Based on the eleventh-generation model that debuted for the 2022 model year, the new Civic Si promises to be the "best-handling and most fun-to-drive Civic Si ever."
In addition to a handful of photos, Honda also released a brief teaser video showing the new 2022 Honda Civic Si slicing through Thunderhill Raceway in light camouflage. The rear of the racer is outfitted with a large GT-style wing, prominent lower splitter, and hood vents. while the interior is gutted save for a single bucket race seat.
Notably, the new Civic Si is slated to make a run in the 25 Hours of Thunderhill in December. Unfortunately, the aero bits won't be offered on the production model.
What will be offered, however, will be a bit more power from the turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder L15B7 engine (currently rated at 205 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque), sharper suspension tuning, and an optional manual transmission.
Honda says a full reveal will happen "soon," likely later this month.
As a reminder, Honda also recently teased the 2023 Civic Type R, once again showing off with a lightly camouflaged prototype model.
