Fifth-gen inbound.
Acura has unveiled a prototype model previewing the all-new 2023 Integra, reviving an iconic sport compact nameplate last put to bed in 2001.
The prototype is finished in Indy Yellow Pearl, a hue pilfered from the Acura NSX and selected to pay homage to the legendary 2000-2001 Integra Type R. The look-at-me paint is offset by gloss black accents, while embossed "INTEGRA" lettering can be found scattered here and there.
The new Acura Integra's exterior styling is characterized by a coupe-like roofline and classic five-door liftback body style, while the front end sports Acura's latest design language with its signature Diamond Pentagon grille. LED lighting is found front and rear.
The 2023 Integra prototype model is also equipped with 19-inch split-spoke wheels housing plus-sized Brembo brakes.
Making the go is a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder, the same mill as the Honda Civic Si. No official output numbers to report yet, but estimates hint at roughly 200 horsepower from the factory. The chassis is also shared with the Civic Si. A limited-slip differential is onboard to put the ponies down, while a six-speed manual is offered for those that enjoy cars.
The 2023 Integra is set to launch next year with a starting price around $30,000. Expect additional details as the on-sale date approaches.
