Subarus, Nissans, and VWs - oh my!
RallyCross attracts a special breed. Your typical human specimen would reject the invitation to stand in a field in San Bernardino and shag cones while getting hosed with dirt by some screaming all-wheel drive turbo beast with a loose nut behind the wheel, but that’s what makes these events so special. The promise of four-wheeled drifts and delicate trail braking brings out some pretty interesting people - exactly the kind of people that Tuner Fan loves. As such, we were on the scene at the CalClub RallyX race in Glen Helen last month to see what we could dig up.
We already brought you some of the action in video form a few days ago, but now, we’re dropping a ridiculous number of photos with the following mega-gallery. As expected, the Subarus were out in force, but there were a few surprises as well, including a Tesla Model 3, a Porsche 944, and a Mitsubishi Mirage, plus a few Fords, Hyundais, Volkswagens, and several Nissan Sentras to round it out.
