F1-Powered Toyota Supra Will Melt Your Earholes

11,000 rpm hits the dyno.

We here at Tuner Fan love a good engine swap, but this is ridiculous. What we have here is a Mk.V A90 Toyota Supra equipped with a 4.0-liter Judd GV4 V10. This engine can spin to 11,000 rpm and is usually found in late model Formula 1 cars and Le Mans Prototypes, but now it's in a Toyota Supra sounding like it's ripping a hole through spacetime, as demonstrated in the following dyno video.

The video comes to us from professional Formula Drift driver Ryan Tuerck, who previously built another awesome swap known as the GT4586, a Toyota 86 powered by a 4.5L V8 plucked from the engine bay of a Ferrari 458. But while Tuerck's GT4586 is no doubt impressive, this new creation is several notches above it in the automotive food chain. Dubbed Formula Supra, this A90's Judd 4.0-liter V10 spits out 750 horsepower, driving the rear wheels through a Hollinger six-speed sequential gearbox.

It's also very lightweight, with the factory A90 Toyota Supra shell stripped down to the barest of essentials and carbon fiber bits added everywhere. That Judd V10 is light too, with a dry weight under 300 pounds. Put it all together, and Tuerck is shooting for a vehicle curb weight of roughly 2,500 pounds.

Add in the ear-melting soundtrack, and this F1-powered Toyota Supra definitely has our attention.

Watching the build come together on Tuerck's YouTube channel has been a delight - indeed, it takes a lot of work and ingenuity to will a swap like this into existence. However, it's the following dyno video that really delivers, with no music, minimal commentary, and industrial quantities of internal combustion goodness.

Grab your headphones, hit play, and enjoy.
