Forsberg Slams 2023 Nissan Z On Aftermarket Wheels

What's next for the build?

Being well-connected certainly has its perks. Just look at Formula Drift champion Chris Forsberg - even though we're still several months away from the release of the all-new 2023 Nissan Z, Forsberg already slammed the coupe to the pavement on a set of aftermarket wheels.

Forsberg recently posted a series of close-cropped teaser images showing the freshly dropped 2023 Nissan Z on a set of forged Rotiform WGR-S wheels, which look to be wrapped in GT Radial Champiro SX2 RS performance rubber. Although we can't quite see the entire setup, the images do reveal a rather meaty combo for the forthcoming Z machine.

Next steps for the build have yet to be revealed, but Forsberg does hint that he's got something cooking for the new 2023 Nissan Z. Given the pro driver's history of attaching his name to some pretty awesome cars, including the nitrous-huffing, 1,000-horsepower Nissan 370Z he wheeled in Formula D last year, as well as a SR20DET-powered Datsun 510 wagon and a 2,000-horsepower, four-seater Nissan Altima drift monster shown at SEMA, we have pretty high hopes.

For those who may not remember, the 2023 Nissan Z made its debut last August, introducing a brand-new seventh generation for the iconic Japanese sports car. Big ticket items include a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 throwing down 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, all of which is directed rearwards through either a six-speed manual, or a new nine-speed automatic. Pricing is expected to start around $40,000.
