Sit In The Chase Car Behind This F1-Powered Toyota Supra

Shredding at 11,000 rpm.

Although electric vehicles certainly offer a number of interesting performance benefits, there's no denying the visceral experience of a high-strung race motor guzzling gallons of dino juice. Now, we're experiencing exactly that with the following video featuring Ryan Tuerck's outrageous F1-powered Toyota Supra.

Regular readers will no doubt recognize this mad machine, but for those of you who may be unaware, this Mk. V A90 Toyota Supra was pieced together by pro drifter Ryan Tuerck, who managed to fit the lithe little Japanese sports car with a naturally aspirated Series 1 4.0-liter Judd GV4 V10. The specs are impressive, with an estimated maximum output around 750 horsepower and a redline that screams up to 11,000 rpm. Usually found in late-model Formula 1 cars and Le Mans Prototypes, the Judd V10 makes the sort of sounds that will melt your earholes when properly unleashed.

Complementing the V10 is an all-carbon body and a laundry list of high-end racing components, making this Toyota an absolute beast. Now, courtesy of automotive photographer Larry Chen, we're sitting in the chase car passenger seat as Tuerck slides his F1-powered Supra up a mountain road.

The video clocks in at 11 minutes, 17 seconds, and documents a video/photo shoot held at Tejon Ranch in California, where Tuerck's Supra gets to stretch its legs a bit with some full-throttle blasts and a little drift action as well. Watching Tuerck put the hammer down is a real treat, and even though we've covered his F1-powered Supra on several occasions previously, we can't seem to get enough of the eye and ear candy that it has to offer.

So then - crank the volume, sit back, hit play, and enjoy:
